"How much is too much" is hosting a challenge on there blog http://www.hmitm.blogspot.com/ Here is my attempt at the challenge which was to use 10 journal tags on a layout. I actually used 13 giving the season :) This was an extra challenge for me as I am going through old scrapbooks and redoing some of the pages that I was not too happy with. Those pages were created before there were alot of supplies out there available. Also, I used to crop my photos so small and use all my different fancy edge scissors. So,,, I am trying to use those actual photos rather than just waste and reprint photos since I do not have it in me to throw the small cropped ones away!!

Happy Tuesday fellow bloggers :) I stumbled across this paper craft challenge and thought it sounded like a fun thing to do on this rainy day here in Kentucky. The challenge is from http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/ go there and check it out! I know I should probably be focusing on Halloween or something but yesterday I was working on this cute little bear building a snowman and had not yet done anything with him so today I added him to this card with polka dots and stripes just like the challenge called for. Hope you enjoy!

Here is a Christmas Card created last night. I pulled out the Cricut and used the Christmas Noel cartridge to create the hanging sign for this card and dug through one of my many drawers full of Christmas stamps and came up with this one. I think it turned out pretty cute even if I stayed up until 3am!!

Life is about change and nothing ever stays the same.

Well, here I go again....
Life is about change and nothing ever stays the same...

After very careful examination and a whole lot of contemplating, I have decided to close my beautiful store. I have just been pulled in too many directions lately and feel very torn between all of my obligations. I am and always will be a paper crafter and I am actually excited about the idea of being able to have more time for creating and not having to spend all of my extra time "working" for the store and worrying about the store. Also, I am a Night Owl and being able to scrapbook until the wee hours of the morning in my house while the husband and children sleep soundly will be very nice rather than leaving the house in the middle of the night to go down to the store and having my husband wake up and get scared to death because I am no where to be found will be quite a relief for both him and myself!!

To my wonderful friends and customers my doors are always open and I look forward to having you all visit me when the new house is ready. Then the Scrappy Hour Crops will resume and who knows, maybe we will even get my husband to cook for us.....

Celica's Sweet 16

Celica's Sweet 16
We celebrated in style! Celica, 7 of her girlfriends, her Aunt Pat and cousin Anna and friend, my dear friends Angie and Bridgett and their daughters--We spent the day at Fayette Mall in Lexington and then spent the night at the Hyatt Regency downtown. We went and took plenty of photos downtown and the girls enjoyed Horse Drawn Carriage rides (they are Kentucky girls after all!)

I've been busy making these super sweet party favor boxes.
I am attending a local show and so I am making a few samples to put on display at my table. I would like for customers to know that they can come into the shop for a BYOP (Bring your own paper) event and make such cute favors for their next event.
I can also make the favors for them too of course but I am trying to emphasize to the people here in my town that scrapbooking can be fun for anyone :)
I would love to hear anyone elses ideas too. During these tough economic times paper crafting is such a wonderful hobby to take your mind off your troubles and I am trying to come up with more affordable ideas for my customers so we can have fun and get through these tough times together.
